As a company whose foundations lay in aluminum, MA Aluminum pursues harmony with the natural environment and environmental conservation. By utilizing the outstanding properties of aluminum while recycling, re-using and reducing the consumption of resources and energy, we act to help build a society capable of sustainable development.
Environmental Policy
The MA Aluminum Corporation Fuji Plant has defined a basic policy governing its activities in order to continue to engage in aluminum product design, development and manufacturing business activities while passing on rich nature to the next generation.
- We are continually aware of the impact that the plant's activities, products and services have on the environment, make every effort to prevent environmental pollution and reduce resource usage, and strive to make ongoing improvements to our environmental management system to boost environmental performance.
- We meet our obligations to comply with environmental laws, regulations, ordinances, agreements with local communities and compliance requirements agreed upon with stakeholders and other parties related to the plant's activities, products and services.
- In light of the impact our business activities have on the environment, we promote environmental activities with the following items serving as a framework with sustainability as a fundamental goal.

Recycling Aluminum Beverage Cans
MA Aluminum regards the collection of used aluminum cans to be used as resources for the creation of new aluminum cans to be one of its important tasks, and since starting in 1975, we have been continuing with these activities for a long time. MA Aluminum maintains Japanese largest aluminum can recycling plant in Oyama, Shizuoka Prefecture, and has played a central role in aluminum can recycling in Japan.
Since aluminum cans can be melted down and reverted to the materials used to make new cans multiple times, they are one of the few products capable of closed-loop recycling. Consumers have a strong interest in aluminum can recycling activities, and their importance has been broadly recognized across society. As a result, the aluminum can recycling rate recorded in Japan for 2021 was 96.6%.
In the 21st century, which demands sustainable development through recycling-oriented economic systems, aluminum cans are one of the most suitable containers. The aluminum can recycling business has a significant role to play in the effective utilization of resources and energy, and in the shaping of a recycling-oriented society. Embracing "Can to Can" as our slogan, we expect to further broaden the circle of aluminum can recycling and will continue to make steady efforts going forward.
